Bernardo Romo

Co-founder & Managing Principal

Bernardo Romo is a business strategy and innovation leader with 20+ years of experience scaling global technology and telecom businesses. At Microsoft, he leads Portfolio Architecture Planning for Unified Offerings, a multibillion‑dollar enterprise portfolio focused on cloud engagement and customer success. He previously led the global Dev & Apps Solutions organization, overseeing 200+ engineers delivering digital transformation and cloud adoption for Fortune 2000 clients.

Before Microsoft, Bernardo was Senior Director of Strategy & Product Innovation at HTC, driving global product strategy for premium mobile experiences and contributing to initiatives generating over $15B in device revenue across 28+ countries. Earlier, he helped launch the first Xbox digital entertainment marketplace—growing into a $2B+ business—and led business development across the Xbox and Windows Phone ecosystems.

His earlier career includes leadership roles at Terra Lycos (Telefónica) and VTR GlobalCom, where he managed P&L, led large-scale digital and media businesses, and drove significant subscriber and market share growth across Latin America.

Born and raised in Chile, Bernardo holds an MBA from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) with majors in Finance and Marketing, and a Civil Engineering degree with distinction from the University of Chile.

His unique combination of strategic leadership, product innovation expertise, and global business experience enables him to identify high-impact opportunities, scale complex portfolios, and drive sustained enterprise value.

Dario is a seasoned operations and product leader with 15+ years of experience at high-tech and consulting firms, where he built, launched, and scaled cloud, AI, and enterprise infrastructure platforms generating over $100M in measurable business impact.

At Google, Dario led the go-to-market strategy for edge products — driving 45+ proofs-of-concept in industrial AI and negotiating an $8M multi-year partner engagement. At Microsoft, he led a Storage Capacity Planning Center of Excellence, owning financial modeling for $10M+ strategic deals and influencing a $500M+ pipeline. At Amazon, he was product owner for supply chain optimization systems powered by Monte-Carlo simulations and AI-driven forecasting.

His earlier career spans management consulting at Opera Solutions, McKinsey & Co., finance strategy at a top-20 global P&C insurer, and technology leadership roles across Latin America. As a consultant, he led teams working in growth strategy, analytics, process improvement and offshoring initiatives.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Dario holds an MBA from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) with concentrations in Operations and Finance, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires.
